Physical Chemistry:

Technical product is a white or buff crystalline powder. Solubility at 20-25C: Water : 0.5%, Hydrocarbon or Chlorinated Hydrocarbon : <2.8%, Methanol : 28.0%, Acetone : 34.0%. Melting Point:142-144C.
 

Toxicity:

The acute oral LD50 was 5,000 mg/kg in rats. The acute dermal (skin) LD50 was greater than 2,000 mg/kg in rabbits. There is no skin and eye irritation. in rabbits.
 

Application:

Asulam is a methylsulfanilylcarbamate herbicide with multiple functions such as contact killing, suction, antagonism and hormone. It is extensively used to control the growth of weed in the fields of sugarcane, cotton, barley, rape, soybean, melon, peanut and tuber as well as orchard, rubber plantation, flax field and grazing land. Also it is helpful to stimulate the growth of sugarcane and flax.
