Technical product is a brown liquid with characteristic odor. Solubility in water Disperses; Solubility in petroleum ether v.s.; alcohol v.s.; benzene v.s, Melting Point: 120 ≧.
　
Toxicity:

The LD50 is 300 to 400mg/kg for technical grade diazinon in rats. The inhalation LC50 (4-hour) in rats is 3.5 mg/L. In rabbits, the dermal LD50 is 3600 mg/kg.
　
Application:

It is a non-systemic insecticide with some acaricidal action. Main application are in rice, fruit trees, vineyards, sugar cane, corn, cotton, tobacco, potatoes, horticultural crops and coffee for a wide rang of sucking and leaf-eating insects. Used to against flies in the glasshouse and against flies and ticks in veterinary practice.
