Physical Chemistry:

Technical proudct is light-yellow to white solid. Melting point: 100-101°C. Vapor pressure<110 -11 Pa. Soluble in acetone, ethyl ether, dimethyl sulfoxide, tetrahydrofuran, acetonitrile and ethanol.
 

Toxicity:

1) Acute oral LD50 for rat: 441 mg/kg. 2) Acute dermal LD50 for rabbit >2000 mg/kg.3) Inhalation LC50 (4 h) for rat: 1.9 mg/L. 4) Non-irritating to skin (rabbits).5) Moderate-irritating to eyes (rabbits). 6) Not a skin sensitiser (guinea pigs).

Application:

Chlorfenapyr can control of many species of insects and mites, including those resistant to carbamate, organophosphate and pyrethroid Insecticides and also chitin-synthesis inhibitors, in cotton, vegetables, citrus, top fruit, vines and soya beans.
